Hetrick-Martin Institute

HMI: New Jersey provides free year-round programs and services for LGTBQ youth and allies ages 13-21 in New Jersey. Based on the program and services models of Hetrick Martin Institute in NYC, HMI: New Jersey is the first comprehensive LGBTQ youth out-of-school time program in New Jersey dedicated to providing youth who are at-risk of harassment, abuse, neglect, homelessness and disconnection with a safe, supportive environment in which to grow and thrive.

HMI: New Jersey serves youth from Essex, Hudson, Union and Middlesex counties and is the only LGBT organization contracted with the New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency Department.
